Introducing sharing account details

At Emma, we have been busy working on a few new redesigns and changes that you are going to see across this month. The first change we have made was regarding the Settings view. We have decided to opt in for a different layout, which is going to give us more space for a few upcoming super cool features, which we will release.

The Settings view has now taken the shape of a grid. This allows better visibility and usability. The goal was to make every single option much easier to access and view. In this context, we have also increased the size of the main circle containing your initials. We’ll introduce the ability to upload your profile picture later this month.

As part of this change, which is going to happen through several iterations, we are renaming the tab from “Settings” to “More”. The Settings related to your account will be accessible from the top right corner of the More view later on.

We are also announcing a small new feature today, which is the ability of sharing your account number and sort code to friends and family. In the past few months, we have noticed how difficult it is to actually retrieve this information from our own banking apps and quickly share it to friends who owe us money or even family.

For this reason, we have decided to implement a simple sharing functionality, which, with no more than 3 clicks, will send the account’s details straight to your recipient.

This feature is available for all our users. There are also some edge cases where some accounts are not supported, such as Monzo, which is not returning us account number and sort code.

ps: We are currently working on a Paypal integration which should get to you very soon!
